29 Nov Report – Dragutin Gostuški’s Oblique Angle
Organized by the Institute of Musicology of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, a national conference with international participation “Dragutin Gostuški’s Oblique Angle” was held on the 23 and 24 November. This conference gathered in the hall of the Audiovisual Archive and
Center for Digitalization SASA researchers of different profiles and generations, as well as the wider audience interested in the life and work of Dr. Dragutin Gostuški, musicologist, aesthetician, composer and music critic. During these two days, the participants and audience discussed Gostuški’s theoretical and aesthetical ideas and concepts (presented mostly in his monograph Time of Art, 1968), his compositional opus, work in media, music and art criticism, as well as his visions for the future in art and music.
On the first day of the Conference, a concert dedicated to the jubilees of Dragutin Gostuški and Petar Konjović was held at the Galery of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. Gostuški’s and Konjović’s works were performed by the Academic choir Collegium Musicum, Chamber enseble St. George Strings, Natalija Mladenović (piano), Mina Mendelson (violin) and Dejan Mitrović (cello).
